What is Canesten Thrush External Cream 2% w/w Cream Clotrimazole?

Canesten Thrush External Cream contains 2% w/w of the antifungal Clotrimazole in a 20g tube. It is used to treat external fungal infections such as thrush.

Directions for Use:

For adults and children, apply the cream thinly and evenly over the affected area 2-3 times daily. Rub in gently. Wash hands after application.

Warnings:

• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or vagina.
• Do not swallow.
• Do not use on broken skin or large areas of skin.
• If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.

Side Effects:

Like all medicines, Canesten Thrush External Cream can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Possible side effects may include:

• Skin irritation
• Redness
• Itching
• A burning sensation at the application site
